Rissot yesterday morning surrounded by his family.
Goshen Police Chief Wade Branson said, "His absence will be greatly felt but his spirit and enthusiasm for life will continue to live on through his daughters, wife, family and friends."
On Oct. 14, Ptl. Rissot was diagnosed with A.L.L. leukemia, a rare cancer in adults and had undergone treatment in Indianapolis at the Simon Cancer Center.
Fellow police officers shaved their heads in support of Rissot in November. At that time, Rissot said his fellow officers have shown all kinds of support to him and his family.
