Laura Perez was hired by the Escondido Police Department in October, 2013 and leaves behind a four year old daughter. All inquiries involving the criminal case should be addressed to the Murrieta Police Department.
Chief Carter will hold a press conference on Friday, July 25th at 1:30PM at the Escondido Police and Fire Headquarters in the Community Room. The purpose of the press conference will be the Chief’s opportunity to provide information to the Escondido community about this dedicated, young police officer. Escondido Police Officers' Association has established the following methods of donating to Officer Laura Perez' family. Note: These are the only current methods endorsed by the family and approved by EPOA.

NOTE: If paying by check, please note “PEREZ FUND” in the memo line of your check. All of the monetary donations collected in this manner will be delivered directly to the family by EPOA.
2. EPOA has set-up the “Laura Perez Memorial Fund” at Wells Fargo Bank in Escondido. The monies donated here will be held in trust for Laura's daughter Suzeth as college fund.
